Powering Nuclear Research for DOE

For more than a decade, PAE was a member of a joint venture that ensured the more than 2,200 men and women working at and for the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (67) in Newport News, Virginia, had what they need to perform their ground-breaking science. The joint venture ran operations, security, safety, legal services, facilities management, construction, business management, logistics and more for the 169-acre facility.

Challenge

Managing the major aspects of one of the world’s foremost nuclear research facilities to power the DOE’s cutting-edge research.

PAE and SURA support science at JLabs.
Solution

PAE and its partners had the depth of experience, staff and expertise to keep the lab running smoothly for a client that repeatedly gave the joint venture excellent performance ratings. This critical nuclear physics research center for the Department of Energy had the facilities, staff and stable environment it required to investigate and understand the nature of matter.

More than 220 people work at the 169-acre lab facility that was supported by PAE.
