PAE Recognized as a 2014 Arlington Transportation Partners Champion

February 26, 2015

ARLINGTON, VA—February 26, 2015 — PAE received a Gold Level Award from Arlington Transportation Partners (ATP), a division of Arlington County Commuter Services (ACCS), at a reception last month at the Artisphere. PAE was one of more than 120 businesses and organizations recognized as a Champion for commitment to transportation initiatives and encouraging the use of alternate modes of transit.

The Champions program recognizes businesses, residential properties and commercial properties in Arlington County that have shown a commitment to encouraging the use of sustainable transportation modes such as public transit, ridesharing, biking and walking. PAE received the award for demonstrating leadership in sustainable transportation programs by providing an array of benefits and services for employees.

“In addition to the environmental benefits of promoting alternative transportation, PAE recognizes that by providing a wide array of commuting options, we can help employees take steps towards improving their health,” said PAE CEO John Heller. “As the signature sponsor of the 2014 Greater Washington Heart Walk, we challenged all employees to increase their daily physical activity, which is one of the best ways to decrease the risk of stroke and heart disease. We are excited to continue our multi-faceted approach towards healthy living by collaborating with Arlington Transportation Partners.”

The efforts of PAE and its fellow Champions continue to keep Arlington County at the forefront of urban areas, offering employees and residents a better work-life balance in the Washington-Metropolitan region. Additionally, with the support of ACCS, the programs implemented by PAE such as Bike to Work Day and other benefits including metro benefits and the office’s close proximity to the metro help play a vital role in removing 41,000 cars from the road every day.
