PAE Names Kenneth Myers President of National Security Solutions Business Unit

March 21, 2016

ARLINGTON, Va., March 21, 2016 – PAE has appointed Kenneth (Ken) Myers, former Director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and US Strategic Command’s Center for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction, as President of its National Security Solutions business unit, effective today.

“PAE is making tremendous contributions to U.S. and international security,” explained Ken. “I wanted to be a part of an organization making a difference.”

Ken joins PAE after serving for nearly seven years as Director of DTRA and US Strategic Command’s Center for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction.  As the longest serving leader in this role, Ken was responsible for providing expertise and capabilities to the Combatant Commands and military services and overseeing a $2 billion research and development portfolio.  He most recently oversaw the DTRA effort to eliminate the chemical weapons threat in Libya; respond to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa; and destroy the declared Syrian chemical weapons stockpile at sea. These achievements and several others have been recognized with three Department of Defense Joint Meritorious Unit Awards and numerous science and technology accolades.

Prior to his role at DTRA, Ken served for six years as a Senior Professional Staff Member on the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. Here he managed a team responsible for overseeing the Nunn-Lugar Program; arms control treaties; arms sales; annual authorization legislation for European and former Soviet accounts; and the development of legislative and floor strategy for Committee legislation and nominations.  He served as the Senior Legislative Assistant for National Security in the Office of Senator Richard Lugar for eight years prior to that.

In his new role at PAE, Ken will lead the National Security Solutions business unit, which was created last year after the company acquired the USIS Global Security & Solutions segment in January and A-T Solutions in June. The unit, comprised of approximately 3,000 employees, offers full spectrum identity management services, forensic and biometric operations, analysis and comprehensive training to customers engaged in complex national security missions worldwide.

“Ken brings unique insight and extraordinary leadership experience in highly technical environments to this role,” said PAE CEO John Heller. “I look forward to working with him on strategies to expand and enhance our robust National Security Solutions team.”

PAE is a leading provider of enduring support for the essential missions of the U.S. government, its allied partners and international organizations.  With over 60 years of experience, PAE supports the execution of complex and critical missions by providing global logistics and stability operations, technical services and national security solutions to customers around the world.
