PAE Awarded Contract to Support USAF Aerial Target System Testing

ARLINGTON, VA., August 11, 2015 – PAE, a leading provider of enduring support for essential global missions, has been awarded a U.S Air Force contract for the operations and maintenance of aerial targets used in the testing of all major weapons systems and munitions programs. Employees will support testing of air-to-air missile, fighter, and conventional precision guided munitions for domestic and foreign military customers, and they will collaborate with the Air Force’s 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group to facilitate live-fire exercises. The contract is valued at over $115.9M with a period of performance of seven years, and work will be performed at Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB), Florida and Holloman AFB, New Mexico.

PAE has supported the Department of Defense and foreign military sales (FMS) missile testing and evolution programs for six years. Under the new contract, PAE will provide maintenance services for full-scale QF-4 and QF-16 drone aircraft at Tyndall and Holloman AFBs; support the subscale BQM-167 drone mission at Tyndall AFB and deployed locations; provide a full range of drone support to the Air Force Weapons Standardization Program (WSEP); and service all range instrumentation systems at Tyndall as well as the ground radar destruct system supporting all drone operations.
