PAE Joins Key Players in Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Consortium

ARLINGTON, Va. May 17, 2018 - PAE joins the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Consortium to better serve the CWMD community, build relationships and maintain situational awareness of ever increasing, disruptive technologies. The consortium represents key players in the CWMD industry, and is comprised of traditional and non-traditional contractors, small businesses, for-profit and not-for profit entities, and academia.

"As a member of the consortium, PAE gains access to like-minded solution providers, new technologies and innovation across industry and academia," said PAE CEO John Heller. "We look forward to building meaningful relationships that will enhance collaboration, accelerate relevant solutioning, and assist with developing and deploying advanced technologies to operators on the front lines."

Through the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense's Other Transaction Agreement with the CWMD Consortium, agencies may prototype CWMD technologies. This agreement allows the United States government to rapidly move through the research and development phase to full procurement/acquisition.

"The consortium offers us the opportunity to be part of the solution from conception, and research and development through prototyping," said Heller. "In addition, the relationships we establish will strategically position PAE to be more competitive on IDIQs such as the Joint Enterprise Research, Development, Acquisition and Production/Procurement Program, of which PAE is a prime contract holder."
