ARLINGTON, VA., October 26, 2015 - PAE, a leading provider of enduring support for essential global missions, celebrated its 60th anniversary last week in Arlington, Va. Chief Executive Officer John Heller and other company leaders welcomed government customers and members of Congress as well as representatives from industry associations and PAE's philanthropic partners.
"We're proud of our legacy of partnering with government customers, producing results in the most challenging places, and above all, helping our customers succeed in their missions," said Heller after a showing of a commemorative video which documented PAE's history from operating as a family-owned company based in Tokyo to its growth in recent years, including two acquisitions earlier this year.
"I don't need to tell you how much the world has changed in 60 years, but what I do like to acknowledge is a constant in our workforce - PAE employees are characterized by their passion for what they do, and the extent to which they commit to their work."
PAE also took the opportunity to honor a long-serving company executive, Landis Hicks. Hicks, who leads the company's business in Southeast Asia, joined the company as Chief Engineer in 1967 during the height of company operations in Vietnam. In honor of Hicks's impressive tenure and considerable contributions to PAE, PAE announced a planned gift to the Landis Wayne and Nhung Hicks Scholarship fund at Vanderbilt University, which will fund need-based scholarships for undergraduate students pursuing their major in Engineering.
