ARLINGTON, Va., March 24, 2014 - PAE, a leading provider of integrated global mission services, has been awarded a contract to provide critical life support and logistics services to the U.S. Department of State mission in Iraq. Under the Baghdad Life Support Services (BLiSS) program, PAE will provide a wide scope of services at the Baghdad Embassy Compound, Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center and the U.S. Consulate General in Basrah. "We are proud to expand our support of the U.S. diplomatic mission in Iraq with the BLiSS contract award," said PAE CEO John Heller. "It is a privilege for PAE to provide the life support and logistics services that support the hundreds of men and women who represent the U.S. mission throughout the country."
Under the new contract, PAE will provide nation-wide management of the following operations: postal services, food services, waste management, demilitarization operations, fuel services, supply chain oversight and reporting, recreation services, airfield and transportation services, warehouse operations, and supplemental staffing and maintenance services for the Regional Security Office.
"Over the past several years, PAE has expanded its suite of operational capabilities," added Heller, "and this award reflects our ability to provide the full spectrum of global mission services to our customers."
PAE has provided operations and maintenance services to the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad for over 10 years, and will continue that work under the recently awarded Baghdad Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract.
