ARLINGTON, Va., January 16, 2015 - PAE, a leading provider of enduring support for essential global missions, announced today that it has acquired the Global Security and Solutions (GS&S) business unit of US Investigations Services, LLC (USIS). GS&S is principally engaged in providing mission support services and has earned a reputation among its customers for dependable and critical mission support. It is not involved in the provision of background investigations services.
"This team has cultivated a deep expertise for supporting programs of critical national importance for customers across the law enforcement, homeland security and classified communities," said PAE Chief Executive Officer John Heller. "Building upon PAE's 60 year history of providing services in support of our nation's vital national security interests, the acquisition of GS&S expands that support within the Department of Homeland Security and to additional customers, including the Department of Justice."
The GS&S business unit is comprised of approximately 1,900 employees, many of whom hold Secret or higher-level clearances, who provide services in litigation support, biometric capture and enrollment, training, construction surveillance and security consulting. The acquisition of GS&S enhances PAE's existing level of support to the Department of Homeland Security and to several clients in the classified market, with multiple long-term contracts focused on identity management, infrastructure protection, information management and mission support.
"The acquisition of GS&S presented us with an opportunity to add several critical services that will complement our existing portfolio," added Heller. "Due to the nature of the missions we support, the cultures of the PAE and GS&S workforce are very similar, and we look forward to partnering together to provide our customers with an enhanced level of dedicated support."
"We believe becoming part of PAE will provide significant opportunities for GS&S and our customers and employees," said Jeremy Wensinger, President of GS&S. "The breadth and depth of PAE's portfolio and financial capacity will enable GS&S teams to not only continue their strong program performance, but will also provide access to an adjacent set of customers that could benefit from our services."
