Ken Dowd is PAE’s client executive focused on the global logistics market and the U.S. Army customer. Dowd retired from the Army in 2014 at the rank of major general.
Prior to his work at PAE, Dowd was with the vice president of logistics for the Reston, Virginia-based SOS International.
In his last active duty military role, Dowd was the director of logistics operations for the Defense Logistics Agency. In this position, he oversaw $44 billion budget, directed a 26,000-person workforce and oversaw global logistics support for all military forces. Dowd also served as commanding general, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait and was responsible for the equipment drawdown of U.S. military forces from Iraq. His team developed the current logistics structure still being used today to remove equipment from Afghanistan.
Dowd holds a master's degree in strategy and military science from the Army War College, a master's degree in logistics and business management from the Florida Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of the Cumberlands.
