James Benton is PAE's vice president and chief information officer. He is responsible for advancing the information technology strategy goals, ensuring business alignment and managing the day-to-day operations of PAE cyber security, global service desk and field services support operations.
Benton has diverse experience in organizational transformation and leading high-performance IT organizations. He previously served as PAE’s chief information security officer where he developed the cybersecurity strategy, created an effective information security organization and managed cybersecurity operations.
Prior to joining PAE through acquisition, Benton served as vice president of IT of A-T Solutions. In this role, he was responsible for enterprise network operations, engineering, service delivery support and risk management activities. Earlier in his career, Benton served as an information technology director for ManTech International, where he was responsible for the operational support of networks supporting the Department of Defense, federal government and intelligence community customers.
Benton retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 2001 at the rank of first sergeant following 22 years of service. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Saint Leo University.
