Commitment to Our Communities

Through our corporate philanthropy program, PAE is committed to supporting organizations that align with our missions, the communities in which we operate, and our own employees’ philanthropic interests. As an implementing partner in many U.S. foreign policy initiatives, our teams often have a firsthand look at the areas of great need around the world. We feel that it is important to show our commitment not only by supporting our customers’ missions, but through our own initiatives and actions.

Supporting our Veterans

Given PAE’s strong relationship with the U.S. military and the high percentage of veterans among its workforce, supporting military organizations is a prioritized objective of our corporate philanthropy program. To demonstrate our appreciation for servicemen and women, PAE has committed to a multiyear donation to the Boulder Crest Retreat Foundation, which provides a healing environment for combat veterans and their families. PAE’s donation helped to establish and maintain this important resource in the Northern Virginia community, which in turn helps to support and thank our nation’s heroes. In addition to the corporate sponsorship, PAE provides administrative support to Retreat employees. We encourage our employees to volunteer or support the organization in whatever way they can. 

Positively Impact Communities

In response to employee feedback and with a desire to positively impact communities where our employees work and live, PAE established a partnership and matching gift program with the American Red Cross, which supports causes that include response to disasters in the U.S. and overseas, U.S. Armed Forces, general health education and blood services. Through this matching gift program, PAE matches employee donations to the Red Cross, whether the original donation was earmarked for a specific disaster or to year-round general support funds for causes including Community Support and Support of Armed Forces.

Taking Steps to Better Health

In 2014, PAE “stepped up” to support the American Heart Association as the signature sponsor of the Greater Washington Heart Walk. Given the widespread impact of heart disease and stroke, PAE considered this cause to be one that many employees would find personally relevant. PAE CEO John Heller served as the Chairman of the walk, and PAE led the local community in bringing awareness to major health risks and raising $150,000 to support research and education. We continue our support each year by encouraging employees to form teams to support their local Heart Walk chapters around the country.
